India will hold elections to the 15th Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha election is held at least every Five years under normal circumstances. The Largest democracy of the world is going to polls and choosing its representative through a record number of voters. This Huge process, starts on April 16, goes up to 13 May 2009 and the Indian people will receive the new government in place within 2 June 2009. The result of the election will be announced on 16th May, 2009.

The election will be held by  the Electronic voting machine (EVM), as was done with the 2004 election. There are 1,368,430 voting machines available across the country.
