India successfully test-fired Shaurya Missile
India successfully test-fired ‘Shaurya’, a medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile, from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Balasore, Orissa. The ‘Shaurya’ missile has a range of 600-km and can hit the striking the areas of Pakistan and China.
The ‘Shaurya’ missile is capable of carrying conventional warheads of one tonne. Shaurya is easily transportable and easy-to-use. ‘Shaurya’ will be integrated into Indian Army at a later stage.
