Sabita Indra Reddy First Woman Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has rewarded his sister (Chevella Chellemma) P. Sabita Indra Reddy by elevating her as the State home minister, making her the first woman to hold the post.
Incidentally, Ms. Sabita Indra Reddy’s late husband Indra Reddy too was a Home Minister in the N.T. Rama Rao Cabinet in 1994-95.
Ms. Sabita Indra Reddy was Minister for Mines and Geology in the previous Cabinet.
